eHarmony, in response to a lawsuit, is starting a site that caters to people seeking same-sex matches.
I didn't think this lawsuit was useful or fair, and am relieved that among GLB/friendly people, I am apparently not alone in this sentiment. Of course, if any of you disagree, I'm open to those arguments. -
Prop 8 protests
I realize that Prop 8 was particularly awful in that it snubbed marriages that already existed, but it's a mistake to focus so heavily on it, when on Tuesday two other states passed bans on same-sex marriage. There's a rally on Saturday to support legalized same-sex marriage. What should my sign say? So far, I really like "Family is a family value" and "Who's destroying whose marriages?" Any other suggestions? -

Del Martin died on Wednesday at age 87. She, with Phyllis Lyon, founded the Daughters of Bilitis, the nation's first lesbian organization, in 1955, and continued in lesbian and feminist activism for the rest of her life. She and Lyon moved in together in 1953, and were married in June 2008.
She was an amazing woman and a national treasure.
